MTV Awards, blah blah blah

Ok, well, I guess we're sort of obligated to mention the MTV Video Music Awards, cultural train wreck that it is. Unless you've been living in a cave for the past few weeks (or you just don't watch MTV, in which case I commend you), you know that MTV held it's annual awards bash Thursday night in New York City. Yeah, most of the awards went to the likes of Eminem, J Lo, Eminem, Avril Lavigne, Eminem, Pink and did I mention Eminem, but some SU-worthy artists did pick up trophies. The White Stripes took home 3 (!) awards, No Doubt took home two and Coldplay and Dashboard Confessional each took home one. For a full list of winners, you can check out this article over at Yahoo News, or you can just tune into MTV because they'll probably re-air the thing 23 times this weekend. Oh, and Guns N Roses closed the show with a live performance. I guess they're back for real now. Weird.
