German industrial pioneers Einsturzende Neubauten have launched a new website and announced details about their latest album, due April 1, 2003. The album will be released without support of any record label (this after their longtime label, Mute, was bought out by EMI) and the entire recording process will be documented online with downloads, streaming video clips, updates from the band, etc. Yeah, OK, even if you think that their music sounds like a bunch of silly Germans banging on trash cans, you have to admit that doing something like this is pretty cool. The website will also eventually feature downloads from the band's huge archive of live, rare and otherwise previously unreleased material.
