DeSoto Records State Of The Union
Reported by yewknee
In a bit of unsettling news, it seems that DeSoto Records will be gradually shutting down and eventually closing its doors. According to the official "State Of The Union" update from the official site the label will no longer be signing any new bands but is working hard on wrapping up a few projects. Specifically we can expect a re-release of Shiner's Lula Divinia with 2 bonus tracks on September 9th, as well some Jawbox reissues that are currently owned by Atlantic Records. The reason for the gradual shutdown? DeSoto Records owners and founders Kim Coletta and Bill Barbot have simply decided to try their hand at some new things - maybe even making kids music for "other indie families." The best of luck in all of their endeavors, and much anticipation of their latest projects from DeSoto. Read the full State Of The Union, right here.
