Be Afraid, Be Very Afraid

Reported by erun

FYI: Michael Jackson and Sony/ATV have acquired the rights to Acuff-Rose music publishing, giving them control of more than 50,000 country and rock classics, including tunes by Hank Williams and Roy Orbison- Why is this important to you? Ever get irritated when you hear a Jimi Hendrix tune used to sell Nissan Xterra's? Or maybe hear a Beatles' riff (while the King Of Pop owned rights to John and Paul's publishing) next to a new brand of cheese bread? This, my friends, may be the outcome of those precious songs and artists mentioned above: Abuse for commercial use. Beware.
