The Dave Matthews Band was recently fined $15,000 dollars for exceeding the sound curfew at Colorado University's Folsom Field show on July 12th. The law states that the offender will pay $1,000 per minute over the curfew until the 16th minute, where the fine goes up to $10,000 per minute over. The band kept playing knowing about the curfew laws and included a second encore. In the end, despite the fines, the band and promoter were reported to split 2 million dollars from the single show.
