Maximum Cover Band Alert
Reported by erun
Moby claims to have played in an L.A. "celebrity cover band" while he was in LA promoting his new album 18. Senor Moby said he hooked up with stars including ex-Guns 'N Roses stars Matt Sorum and Slash, Jane's Addiction's Dave Navarro, Robbie Williams, Billy Duffy and Billy Morrison from The Cult in an undisclosed nightclub to perform the songs. Writing in the diary section of his official website, www.moby.com, he said: "I did 'Whole Lotta Love' (Led Zeppelin) and 'Gimme Shelter' (Rolling Stones), but the highlight of the night for me was Robbie Williams singing 'Fat Bottomed Girls' (Queen) with Slash playing guitar. Ah, only in LA.... When it was over Robbie went home to watch the footie, and I went out to an after-party until late." No word yet if this performance will soon be bootlegged and swarming around the net.
