Party With Prince

Reported by erun

Prince has lined up dates and performers for the annual celebration at his Paisley Park studio/compound in Minneapolis. The event has been named Xenophobia (which means fear of social contact, ie: Prince's principal malady), and will run from June 21st through the 27th. Past bashes have featured a cross-section of music that appeals to Prince, and this year is no exception: Saxophonist Maceo Parker will kick off the proceedings on June 21st. The next evening, Prince collaborator and longtime friend Sheila E. will take the stage with the E/Train. The rest of the lineup is Bela Fleck and the Flecktones' bassist Victor Wooten, the 23rd; Norah Jones, the 24th; bluesman Bernard Allison, the 25th; Musiq, the 26th; and Rachelle Ferrell, the 27th. Prince will take the stage each night, maybe even in purple. Weekly passes are currently on sale for NPG Music Club members for $250. The passes allow fans to hear new music and attend daily discussions and workshops as well as entrance... I wonder if you still have to pay for parking?
