Another Illness in Garbageland

Garbage drummer Butch Vig has pulled out of a number of dates on the band's current tour due to illness. Vig, who recently couldn't perform on a European tour after contracting Hepatitis A (which left him unable to walk and turned his skin and eyes yellow), is to miss shows in North America. This time, Vig is suffering from an infection in his inner ear which causes painful sensitivity to sound, according to the band's official website. He will be replaced by Matt Chamberlain (who we recently reported would be working with Fiona Apple... Hmm). This is the second setback to Garbage's touring schedule, the first incident being Shirley's illness, which we told you about before.
