Whole Lotta Artists @ Janus

Bob Dylan, Gov't Mule and Nickel Creek will headline different dates of the Janus Jazz Aspen Snowmass Labor Day Weekend Festival, which runs from August 30th to September 2nd in Aspen, Colorado. Phil Lesh and Friends will open the festival in a double bill with Gov't Mule. On September 1st, Dylan, in a rare festival appearance, will headline with three additional artists yet to be announced. On September 2nd, Willie Nelson and Nickel Creek will close out the event.This is the second Janus Jazz Aspen festival of the summer. The first takes place from June 20th to June 23rd. Earth, Wind and Fire and Poncho Sanchez will perform on June 21st. On the 22nd, Patti Austin will join the Count Basie Orchestra in a tribute to Ella Fitzgerald, and Herbie Hancock, Michael Brecker and Roy Hargrove also perform. And on the 23rd, John Hiatt, Robert Cray and Dr. John will close out the festival.
