Green Day, Working Hard?

Punk-pop pioneers, Green Day, are currently working on their follow-up to Warning, but bassist, Mike Dirnt, said in a recent interview, "it’s not Warning Part 2." He continued, "that’s such a complete album of its own, to try to go further with that would be a mistake. We feel really energized. It feels like there’s a lot of power in the music that we’re writing right now." He also reported that there are really no plans to release a new Green Day LP anytime soon, but they are considering an album of demos and b-sides to accompany the recent release of their International Superhits album. All Dirnt had to say in the end was: "If we can manage to please ourselves, then I think some chunk of our fans, who have been with us throughout our career are going to relate to it."
