At What Point Does The Phrase "Sell Out" Not Apply?

After a 10% drop in newsstand sales last year, Rolling Stone magazine has decided to replace it's managing editor and rehaul its format. The most noticable changes will be shorter editorials on music and entertainment - a drastic move from Rolling Stone's multi-page features. Kent Brownridge, a top deputy at Rolling Stone, stated: "Rolling Stone is a very different magazine than it was 10 years ago, and things are happening in the culture that dictate a faster take on what’s going on." The overall look of Rolling Stone will not change, however there are plans to start trying to appeal to younger readers, in hopes of boosting sales. So what does this mean? Well, probably more of Britney, the boy bands, crap hip-hop groups, anything that MTV says is cool... Hey! Maybe they could put the cast of Friends on the cover again!? (Translation: just go pick up AP, The Blender or The Fader)
