Jamiroquai: 1/3 The Band They Used To Be

Jamiroquai keyboardist, Toby Smith, left the band last week, choosing to spend more time with his wife and daughter. Smith left Jay Kay and the rest of band on friendly terms, with future projects still as possibility. Kay had this to say: "It is sad to see him go but I totally understand the commitment Toby feels for his family and the strains of being away from home for long periods. I wish him all the best." This marks second departure of an original member from Jamiroquai, the first being the split with bassist extraordinaire Stuart Zender. Zender's solo project Azur failed to get off the ground and was officially buried this year. No news on whether or not he's up to anything, as well as if Jamiroquai will ever put out another good album (especially now - I mean, have you heard A Funk Odyssey?).
