Radiohead Drummer Runs for 4 and 1/2 Hours!

Reported by erun

As we've previously mentioned, Radiohead drummer Phil Selway was going to participate in the London Marathon in order to raise some cash for The Samaritans... And he did it! Now Selway looks set to raise over £18,000 for The Samaritans. The drummer took time out from working on the follow-up to Amnesiac to run the event for the charity, that he has been involved with since the '80s. He hoped to complete the circuit in under four hours, but finally got round in a respectable four and a half. Selway has started an online sponsorship form, where fans can donate money. Anyone who pledges cash will be entered into a draw to win a drum kit he used to record tracks from the group's seminal album OK Computer. Currently, Selway has been pledged over £18,300. You can sponsor Phil here until the end of April.
