Fad Gadget member passes away

Frank Tovey, founding member of 80s electopop act Fad Gadget passed away in his sleep at his house in London on Wednesday. Although Fad Gadget never really received much acclaim for their pioneering work, they're one of those artists that influenced a ton of bands around today. Daniel Miller, head of Mute Records, had this to say about Frank's passing: "Frank was the first artist I ever worked with on Mute, he made some very special and influential records and was an exceptional live performer. Frank played a big part in helping to lay the foundations of what the label was to become in the ensuing years, I will miss him greatly."
