Radiohead drummer, Phil Selway, will be running the London Marathon 2002 on Sunday, April 14th. In a message sent out to W.A.S.T.E. members, Selway asked fans if they would donate money and sponsor him for the marathon, hoping to raise atleast £4,500. All donations will go to help the UK-based charity The Samaritans. Selway went on to say that he will be running the marathon in 4 hours; during those 4 hours, The Samaritans will be taking phone calls from people in need of emotional support. Everyone who donates money for the marathon will be entered into a contest for Selway's Premier XPK drumset, which was used on various tracks for OK Computer. When I posted this story the total had already reached £6,123, well over the proposed goal, so go and help more if you can.
