According to E Street Band guitarist Nils Lofgren, Bruce Springsteen is back at writing material for a new album. He reported: "Last week, in Atlanta, we got together -- I mean, it was supposed to be a big secret, but it's all over every website there was. There were 'spies' in the parking lot when we were down there, from Italy." It has been confirmed that The Boss and the E Street Band are working with producer Brendan O'Brien and have recorded 5 songs to date. As fans wonder what exactly Springsteen is up to and when a new record will be worth hoping for, last year, he made this comment in an interview: "I would like to get more music out ... I know, I say that every time. It's not going to be our usual amount of time to make a record, we don't have the time to waste anymore."
