Big Name Change

Alain Levy, EMI Recorded Music Chairman/CEO, has announced that EMI Records will now operate under the name Capitol. Virgin and Capitol will still operate as two global entities under EMI Recorded Music management. Capitol will now include all artists under the EMI Records roster and will operate independently in each country it is located. Virgin will operate under similar conditions while maintaining their artist roster as well. All imprints, such as Parlophone and Innocent, will still remain in operation under Virgin or Capitol respectively. I know you're saying, "whoop-de-do," but it's a big deal in the coporate music world. In other words, "whoop-de-do!"
