Courtney Love gets a little love from US Court

The U.S. Court of Appeals has rejected a petition from Universal Music Group (UMG) and Geffen Records that was attempting to prevent Courtney Love from proceeding with her lawsuit against the company. The court will hear Love's claim on June 11th (that's right, the case hasn't even been properly presented yet!). This all started in December of 1999 when Courtney sued UMG and Geffen for unfair contract practices - it's a long and sorted tale that would be too much to summarize here.
