First list of SXSW bands released

The 2002 edition of Austin, TX's annual South By Southwest Music Festival will take place March 13th thru March 16th. Each year the festival welcomes more and more bands (last year was over 800) from around the world into the self appointed "Live Music Capitol of the World" to showcase for industry suits and try to make their mothers proud. One of the acts sure to draw a ton of attention is Radiohead's favorite band Clinic, who will be making their first extended trip to the U.S. from their home of Liverpool. Also on this years list are Beulah, Add N to (X), Macha, Girls Against Boys, Chicks on Speed and Man or Astroman. One "band" of note on the list is America's sweethearts Hanson, who last year were seen at the bar of an Austin hotel sucking down Vodka.
