Bilboard has released their list ofthe top 10 top selling albums in the U.S. for 2001 and for the first time ever, the Beatles held the top position with their album "1". The rest of of the top 10 were "Hot Shot" by Shaggy, "Black & Blue" by the Backstreet Boys, The "Now 5" compilation, Limp Bizkit's "Chocolate Starfish", "Hybrid Theory" by Linkin Park, "Break The Cycle" from Staind, "A Day Without Rain" by Enya, "Celebrity" by 'N SYNC and "Country Grammar" by Nelly. The Beatles previous highest result was "Beatles '65" (a US-only release) which reached number two on the year end sales chart.
