The Stone Age Is Almost Upon Us

Queens Of The Stone Age are currently finishing up their new album, "Songs For The Deaf", with co-producer Eric Valentine. As reported earlier, the group is now down to a two piece, Josh Homme and Nick Oliveri, and enlisted the help of Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters, Mark Lanegan of Screaming Trees, and the incomparable Dean Ween of Ween. As earlier stories have told, Lanegan will join the Queens on tour supporting the album, which is due out in the spring of next year.In other news, Josh Homme released "Desert Sessions 7+8", the next of the series featuring tons of "free-form jams", on November 20th through his own label, Rekords Rekords. The album features appearances from Alain Johannes of Eleven, Samantha Maloney of Hole, among others.
