Apparently, Madonna had to take time off from rehearsals recently to plea with Alanis Morrisette to not leave the Madonna owned Maverick Records. Morrisette is apparently dissatisfied with the promotion Maverick gave her album Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie and threatened to leave. As a result of the talks, "everyone including Madonna are thrilled everything has been worked out, and all look forward to Alanis' album release this fall.”
