The Roots, minus Black Thought, recently supported Jay-Z on his MTV Unplugged performance, and his first jam session with live instruments. The show should air on MTV sometime during mid-December.Update: An album from the unplugged session is to be released sometime in mid-December. Furthermore, the performace featured a string section and appearances from Mary J. Blige and The Neptunes' Pharrell Williams.
