Spoon Kill The Moonlight across the nation

Reported by yewknee

Merge Records Spoon will be touring some more in support of their latest release Kill The Moonlight. It's a damn shame if you haven't heard it yet, maybe you should check the dates, pick up the record, see the band, and thank me later (that is, if you like the indie rock).

RHCP Scar Tissue re-release.. kind of

Reported by yewknee

Red Hot Chili Peppers frontman Anthony Kiedis will be releasing his autobiography, Scar Tissue, through Hyperion Press. It'll be like "Behind The Music" only alot more words and less about the other members of the band. As crass as it all sounds, getting the whole scoop on the backstory of "Under the Bridge" might actually be pretty interesting.

Houston tours but does not actually play in Texas

Reported by yewknee

A lengthy string of tour dates has been announced for Houston, who will be releasing their 3rd album Bottom of the Curve on 54s 40' or Fight Records. The album should be available at their shows, on the labels website, and most likely in stores this summer. Interestingly enough, the band that used to open for Shiner has the new project of two ex-Shiner members (Fire of 1666) opening for them in Minneapolis. Thought you might be interested in that little bit of trivia.

Another Deftones release date

Reported by yewknee

So it seems that the Deftones followup to The White Pony will now be released May 20th. While this is, of course, subject to change - it seems pretty legit this time as it's been reported by MTV and the band is planning on going on that Summer Sanitarium tour. Still no officially released title (though we hear it's going to be called Deftones) or tracklisting, but sleep easy knowing that we'll let you know when we find out.
