KRS-One won an injunction against Koch Records that pulled is new album, Kristyles, off of record store shelves this week. The rapper claims the recording is incomplete, and he's still hoping to secure guest appearances by Ol' Dirty Bastard and others.
Remember when your teachers warned you of plagarism? Apparently, even tiny similarities count: The Flaming Lips will split royalties for the song "Fight Test" with Yusuf Islam (formerly Cat Stevens) according to the terms of an agreement between the two artists' publishing companies. The settlement stems from the similarity between the Lips' new single and Stevens' 1970 song "Father and Son," which the Lips did admit similarities.
A new imprint label Pompano Basic, being run by Chad Neptune of Further Seems Forever, has found a home at Undecided Records. As the inaugural release, Undecided and Pompano Basic will be releasing a retrospective of out of print and rare tracks from the Further Seems Forever vaults. More information will be available soon.

According to this article over at Billboard.com, Dido is set to release her follow up to No Angel, titled Life for Rent, on September 30th. The first single from the album, "White Flag," will hit radio on July 7th. The full track listing for the album, which also includes "Sand in My Shoes," "This Land Is Mine" and "Mary's in India," has not yet been decided, but it should be in the coming weeks.
Denali is wrapping up the work on their sophomore album, which will be called The Instinct, and will drop later this year on Jade Tree (track listing in the more). Evanescence, Cold and Revis will strike out together on the upcoming Nintendo Fusion Tour. The trek, which will also feature Cauterize and Finger Eleven, will boast live music as well as a host of Nintendo games. While the exact schedule for the tour is still being laid out, it looks set to kick off August 4th in Los Angeles, CA and end in late September in the Pacific Northwest.

As you know, Béla Fleck & the Flecktones will release, not a 2-disc set, but a 3-disc set, entitled Little Worlds, on August 12th. This will be the group's 10th studio album and will feature The Chieftians, Sam Bush, Nickel Creek, Dereck Trucks, Bobby McFerrin, and Branford Marsalis, among many others. As I expected, the new Andrew W.K. album will not carry the title Blow Your Bone. However, according a mailing list message, will be called The Wolf and will hit stores on September 9th. W.K. reported he'd been working on the disc since January and just finished up in time to head out on the 2003 Warped Tour. Though, if September is too long for you to wait, Andrew W.K. will have a CD/DVD single out on July 15th, titled Tear It Up. It will feature two songs, "Tear It Up" and "Your Rules", from The Wolf and a mini-DVD with all of the group's music videos thus far, as well as live footage. Thursday have posted the track "For The Workforce, Drowning," from their new album War All The Time in stores on September 16th. The same track will be released on a limited-edition. clear vinyl 7" split with Thrice on July 1st. The song was recorded during the sessions for War All The Time and the Thrice track, “Under a Killing Moon,” will be included on their new album, The Artist In The Ambulance.
