Displeasure For Now

Reported by heyrevolver

Well, looks like GSL jumped the gun a few weeks ago, stating that Pleasure Forever had broken up. Looks as if the news isn't completely true. Keyboardist/vocalist Andrew Rothbard has indeed left the band, but Pleasure Forever will continue on with a new lineup. Though, drummer Dave Clifford has joined on with Lion Fever (for more, see one post below), who are set to release their debut album on Dim Mak sometime soon.

This Is The Good Song

Reported by heyrevolver

Blur will release one my favorite tracks from Think Tank, "Good Song", as a proper single come October 6th (UK). The release will arrive in stores in three versions: CD, 7", and DVD. All releases will include either "Me White Noise", a early version of the hidden track on the LP, or the previously unheard "Morricone". For the DVD, Blur teamed up with hot-shit video team Shynola to produce a video solely based on drawings by Glasgow artist David Shrigley. According to Shynola, the video is an animated love story between a squirrel and a fairy. In other words, "a true story of doomed love and nuts, with juicy bits."

Let It Be... Naked

Reported by heyrevolver

As you might have read in Rolling Stone early this year, Paul McCartney has convinced EMI to release the original "de-Spectorized" version of Let It Be, the final album from The Beatles. According to Jam! Music, the album will hit stores on November 18th (US). McCartney reported the new album will be the "noise [The Beatles] made in the studio" and the recording will be "exactly as it was in the room." Regardless of how you feel, I think it's just nice to see The Beatles in the release dates again.
