Apparently, Jack White (of the White Stripes, fool) and Jason Stollmeister (of The Von Bondies) got into a physical altercation backstage at a Detroit club- some sort of Detroit music scene turf war, I suppose. The two used to be good friends and collaborators, but have fallen out recently (Jealousy? The cost of fame?). You can check out the reports on the Smoking Gun website and see the damages to Jason's face. Jeesh. Who knew skinny white indie-rock guys could cause so much damage?

Guided by Voices are taking the southern route on their tour promoting their fourteenth album, Earthquake Glue. More dates may be announced, so don't get too upset yet.

Despite her recent legal troubles, Courtney Love is still back in our faces with some new music. We now have a download of the first single off her upcoming solo album, America's Sweetheart. The track is entitled "Mono" and you can grab it here, after answering a few questions. Trust me, it's worth hearing.

Travis are coming back to tour North America at the end of January. On the 11-date tour, they will cover the continent, ending up in Mexico on February 7th. The band is currently gearing up for a one-off UK Christmas show on December 20th at London's Alexandra Palace with special guests Kings Of Leon and Ben Kweller.
