On March 9, the lives of Rainer Maria fans will become just a little less miserable with the release of In Love With You (Already Knows). This is a live cd/DVD combo from a March 2003 show in Chapel Hill. Check the more for the tracklisting for both.
Though Atom & His Package, the band, might have died, his last ever performance lives on! Hopeless Records is gearing up to release the CD and DVD live recording of Atom’s last show titled Hair : Debatable. The CD/DVD contains bonus features such as music videos and documentaries on Atom and His Package and the duo’s illustrious career. Hopeless is set to release the disc on April 6.
Radiotakeover and Flower Booking are presenting the Sub City Take Action Tour Party March 20, 2004 at Emo’s in Austin, TX as part of the SXSW Festival. MC’ing the event will be Andrew W.K. who will hop between the three stages showcasing the live sounds of Dillinger Escape Plan, The (International) Noise Conspiracy, Ted Leo/Pharmacists, Dillinger Four, Your Enemies Friends, Break The Silence, Melee and many, many more. Entrance into the event is free but there will be a suggested $2 donation for the National Hopeline Network. Shows go from Noon to 6PM.
Avenged Sevenfold have decided to re-shoot their video for ‘Unholy Confessions”. The band has scrapped the previous treatment and footage and are going for a more fan and live performance oriented video. Crews will be on-hand to film the band’s March 6 headlining show at The Henry Fonda Theater in Hollywood to use for the video.
Local H are set to release Whatever Happened To PJ Soles? on April 6th, and the band has announced the first dates of an upcoming Spring tour. The jaunt includes a CD release show at Chicago's, The Metro, on April 9th and a stint on this year's Asbury Park Skate and Surf Festival on April 18th. See below for the dates:

Anatomy Of A Ghost will enter the studio on March 8th to begin recording their sophomore album, entitled Celebrations Of A Sky Blue Life, with producer John Goodmanson (Vaux, Hot Hot Heat). The album is set to be released early this summer. In addition, Anatomy Of A Ghost have been confirmed to be a part of this summers Warped Tour. The band will be appearing on all dates of the tour, playing on the Smartpunk stage.
On February 3, the three pieces of music Sigur Rós originally composed for the Split Sides performance of the Merce Cunningham Dance Company became available exclusively through iTunes. We already told you about the upcoming solo tour of My Morning Jackets' Jim James, but we have also learned that Danny Cash and Johnny Quaid have decided to hang up their instruments and pursue other things in life. Joining with My Morning Jacket on the road are Carl Broemel (guitar) and Bo Koster (keyboards).
Details of the March 18th Jade Tree SXSW Showcase have now been announced by the label. The door price has not been determined by SXSW yet, but there will be tickets for sale at the door so get there early. Badges, and wristbands have first preference. It has been reported that Queens of the Stone Age bassist Nick Oliveri has parted ways with long time calibrator Josh Homme and the band. Screaming Trees member Van Conner has taken over duties as the group's bassist. While coming as a surprise to some, there had been some tension between Oliveri and Homme on their recent tour which led to the departure.
Canada's Hot Hot Heat are currently in the studio writing songs for their next release. The band currently have nine songs written and no release date is set yet.
Guided By Voices have replaced several cancelled tour dates (due to frontman Robert Pollard's back injury) with seven March dates. Though the group has been recording a new studio set, Pollard will first release a new solo album, Fiction Man, in March.

Of Montreal have left Kindercore records and will release their sixth album, Satanic Panic in the Attic, on Polyvinyl on April 6. The album will also come with some extras, like a bonus seven-inch included with the vinyl, and a bonus EP with four exclusive tracks to be given away free with purchase of the album (at some stores).
