Mike Skinner, better known as The Streets, will release his second full length album on May 18th via Vice/Atlantic. The highly-anticipated follow-up to The Streets' 2003 debut album, Original Pirate Material, has been dubbed A Grand Don't Come For Free. The last time we mentioned The Cardigans and their latest album, Long Gone Before Daylight, we didn't have a date for the US release. Well we finally do; you can get the album on May 25th in North America via Koch Records. The new disc will feature a bonus DVD with videos for "For What It's Worth" and "You're the Storm" and three live clips from last year's Roskilde Festival. The CD will also include a bonus cut exclusive to the North American version.

Spike Lee has directed and stared in a short that was made to promote MSN’s new Smart Watch. The track in the short, “Secret Agent Man” was written and performed by Nas and produced by ?uestlove of The Roots.

The Secret Machines have lined up dates for their first extensive tour of the U.S. in support of their new album Now Here Is Nowhere. In addition to announcing tour dates, the band is now streaming their new album in its entirety. You can listen to it here.
According to a recent interview with Scott Weiland, a clause in his contract with his new band, Velvet Revolver, prevents him from leaving Velvet Revolver to go back to STP for any reason. The members are also obligated to deliver three completed albums to RCA records, the first of which, Contraband is set for release in May.
