Onelinedrawings's The Volunteers finally hits stores and Jonah Matranga returns with his strongest record to date. The disc includes liner notes by Geoff Rickly (Thursday) and features an enhanced portion that contains demo versions of album tracks as well as additional liner notes written by Matranga himself. Pepper, who just released their latest album, In With The Old, has lined up a crazy string of US tour dates. The roots-based dub rock, sunny melodies and good-time vibes that the San Diego-by-way-of-Kona, Hawaii trio skillfully demonstrated on their Volcom Entertainment debut, Kona Town, are back in full effect; but with the help of producer/mixer Ron Saint Germain (311, Dredg, Sonic Youth, Tool, Bad Brains). Spymob's Time to Shine

Spymob will release Sitting Around Keeping Score through Ruthless Records on April 6, 2004. In case you aren't familiar with them, the band is more well known as N*E*R*D's backing band and is currently on tour with the band before they head out with The Thrills for a couple weeks.

Yep, that's right. The first confirmed tour dates for The Cardigans upcoming US tour have been announced. Long Gone Before Daylight will come out on May 25th, and we can only hope that more tour dates will be added. Maybe a little love for the South?

Auf Der Tour

Melissa Auf Der Maur has announced that she will tour with the Offspring for a quick tour to coincide with the release of her debut solo album. The tour begins May 1th1 in Minneapolis, one week before the May 18th release date of Auf Der Maur, the album. The album features special guests Josh Homme, Mark Lanegan, Twiggy Ramirez, James Iha and Eric Erlandson.

Modest Mouse's "Float On" will be featured in this week's episode of The OC Wednesday, 3/31. Also join in on a live chat with the band on Monday, 4/5, at 4:30PM (PT) over at modestmousemusic.com. If that isn't enough, the band will also appear on The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn on 4/13 and the Modest Mouse Subterranean interview on MTV2 will premiere on Friday 4/16 and repeat on Sunday 4/18.

Who's Not Forgotten

Face Down Records has released Who's Not Forgotten, a tribute to the legendary rock band, The Who. The album is a collection of 21 songs recorded by power-pop/indie-rock bands from the New Jersey/Philadelphia area. All proceeds from the sale of Who’s Not Forgotten will benefit HEAR, a hearing loss prevention organization created in 1989 with a sizable donation from Pete Townshend.

Rage Against The Machine have posted online the video for the live version of "Gorilla Radio" from their recently released CD/DVD Live at The Grand Olympic Auditorium. The clip took place a the 2000 Democratic National Convention and can be seen in Quicktime, Windows Media, and Real Video.

Supergrass DVD reveals their best

The forthcoming Supergrass Best Of disc (officially titled Supergrass is 10: The Best of 94-04) will feature 21 tracks of their best work, two new tracks ("Kiss of Life", "Bullet"), and 2 discs of DVD material featuring personal footage, TV appearances, a documentary, and all of the official videos. The disc(s) are set for release June 7th in the UK, we can only hope we'll see a US date soon thereafter.

Flaming Lipsapalooza

According to this article on MTV, The Flaming Lips, Sonic Youth, and Morrissey will headline this year's Lollapalooza tour, along with Modest Mouse and The Polyphonic Spree. No official dates yet, but so far that promises to be a sweet line up. Now just add the Pixies!
