The upcoming film Nine Songs is said to be one of the most sexually explicit mainstream films ever released in the U.K. Be on the lookout for live performances of it-band-of-the-moment Franz Ferdinand, Super Furry Aninals, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, and the Dandy Warhols intercut with the racy scenes. Now, if only the bands were starring in those scenes…

Moz Strikes Again

Reported by margaret

Apparently this charming man "wasn't listening," according to a fansite, to his record label when they explained that he was to perform live in front of 12 contest winners, so he decided to bag it and pre-record instead.

Strange Bedfellows

Reported by margaret

That's what I would call Radiohead guitarist Jonny Greenwood and the BBC, but in cahoots they are indeed. Greenwood has just been tapped as "composer in residence" for the venerable British Broadcasting Company, and as such, will have access to archives, scores and the BBC Concert Orchestra. The post will not interrupt his duties with Radiohead, and Greenwood is reportedly very excited by the opportunity.
