Do you have any footage of The Libertines from from the last 3 years? If so, you might want to contact Rough Trade for its possible inclusion in a new DVD that's being put together. The DVD will include all of the videos made from their records so far plus behind the scenes look at their infamous 3-night stint at London's Brixton Academy in March.

Elvis Costello & The Imposters just released their new album, The Delivery Man on 9/21 and we have some audio to celebrate its release. Check out the single “Monkey To Man” in Windows Media and Real Aduio. If you’re into Classical music, Elvis is also released his first full-length orchestral work, Il Sogno yesterday as well. Don’t forget to catch Elvis on Late Night with David Letterman tonight (Wed. 9/22).

Riding the Shortlist

The 10 finalists for the US version of the Mercury Music Prize, known as the Shortlist Prize, have been announced. This list honors what they feel are influential albums that have yet to go gold in the US. The winner will be announced Nov 10th in LA during a concert featuring the bands nominated.

Word on the street is that The Lemonheads are working on material for a new record. On his official website, Dando said, "I want to tell you all what a great time I had singing with D.K.T/MC5. After doing 42 shows I decided to leave the tour. I need to finish writing the next Lemonheads record. The MC5 tour inspired me greatly and I'm now ready to get back to working on my own music.”

Capitol Records will release George Harrison's The Dark Horse Years 1979 -1992 DVD in the U.S. on November 2nd. The DVD includes performance and promotional videos, interview footage, a deluxe booklet with rare photographs and original Dark Horse illustrations, plus a history of the label written by Olivia Harrison.

Banned from the Telly

Mike Skinner, a.k.a. The Streets, has joined the ranks of many by getting his most recent video, "Blinded By the Light" banned in the UK. The video shows graphic depictions of drug use and restroom sexual exploits; you can see some snapshots of it in this article. Either this is a civil rights violation, an indication of society's moral decay, or a brilliant marketing scheme.

Attack on Jet Li

The legendary UK band Massive Attack have lent their immense skills to an upcoming Jet Li film, Danny The Dog. Apparently the director of the film, acclaimed French director Luc Besson, approached the band personally and asked them to compose the instrumental (and undoubtedly trippy) soundtrack.

The Strokes are always keeping us on our toes about what they are going to do next. Plans for a live album have been scrapped. Instead, they are concentrating on their new single, "The End Has No End" and promoting the new video. Head over to their official site to view the video. It stars Eva Mendes, Mila Kunis, and their manager Ryan Gentles, who is quickly becoming as well known as the members of the band.
