We told you awhile back that Frank Black Francis would be releasing a disc on SpinART of Pixies demo's and reworked versions with the Two Pale Boys. If you hadn't heard, you can pick up this 2 disc set on October 12th.. and it's alot more songs than we originally thought.
For the 10 year anniversary, Pavement will release a special edition of their Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain album as a two-disc set on Oct 26th. The package will include 11 tracks recorded at the same time but not released, 14 additional versions of the songs on the record, a 40-page booklet and a Peel Session from 1994.
SoCal legends Bad Religion are heading out on the road in support of their latest album, The Empire Strikes First. In tow will be Chicago hardcore band Rise Against opening all 24 shows.
May 2005 should see the largest retrospective to date from the amazing collective The Band. Band member Robbie Robertson is putting together what is slated to be a 5-disc box set with more than 100 songs as well as a DVD.
Here's some more info on that Grandaddy mixed CD we told you about, Below The Radio. Apparently 18 tracks was a bit presumptuous but the new Grandaddy song "Nature Anthem" will be included.
Rufus Wainwright is set to release his new album, Want Two, a companion piece to last year's Want One. The official release date is November 16th. All tracks from the EP released on Itunes earlier in the year are included on the album. Check out the tracklisting...
Awhile back we told you that Supergrass would be playing some US Dates in promotion of their Best Of disc, Supergrass is 10 (comes out this Tuesday the 28th). Those dates still hold true, but they've added quite a few more and a couple of television appearances...
In a rather odd move, Oasis founding brother Noel Gallagher announced on Britain's Sky One show Tim Lovejoy and the Allstars that the band will deliver a new album on May 26, 2005. The reason this is odd is that he admitted they haven't actually been working too hard lately. Noel said he figured that since they now had a deadline, they would be forced to produce.
According to this yahoo story, Supergrass is building a studio in northern France in which to begin recording their fifth album next month. Apparently they're already well into the writing process. With any luck, we'll see a realease by next summer.
The new A Perfect Circle album we told you about is starting to find its way online. You can now listen to the bands version of "Imagine" with Windows Media or Real Player. eMotive is still slated for a November 2nd release.
First VAST made the demo's for Nude available for digital download as two seperate collections of mp3s entitled Turquoise and Crimson. Then they released the actual Nude album. Now they are releasing fully mastered CD quality versions of the songs from both the Turquoise and Crimson collections as well as some added bonus songs and alternative versions as a double disc set. Being the completist that you are I'm sure you'll head over to their store immediately and get your signed copy from the first batch of 1,000.
We told you that the Autolux album has been delayed until Oct. 26th (though apparently the word did not reach all retailers) but the band is playing outside of Los Angeles in the coming month, so check for those dates...

Mute has informed us that the Liars have cancelled their fall 2004 tour dates with Blonde Redhead. The Blonde Redhead tour will go on as planned and another opener will be selected.
