As mentioned, the Raveonettes are still working on theire new studio album. They are decribing it as influenced by early rock n' roll and bop groups. Early song titles include "Red Tan" and "Love In A Trashcan", and "Ode To LA", featuring 60's vocal legend Ronnie Spector. Expect to see this gem in early 2005.

Ooooow! Jump Back!

The hardest working man in show business, James Brown, has announced that he is battling prostate cancer. 71 year old Brown will undergo surgery next wednesday and had this to say about his condition, "I have overcome a lot of things in my life. I will overcome this as well."

RIP Mr. Dimebag

Pantera and Damageplan guitarist Dimebag Darrell was shot and killed onstage Wednesday night when a gunman rushed the stage during a Damageplan show. The gunman expressed disgust in Pantera's breakup and proceeded to shot the guitarist as well as at fans in the audience. Five people were killed, including the gunman.

Turbonegro are currently in a undisclosed Oslo studio laying down tracks for their next album, the follow-up of 2003's vastly successful Scandinavian Leather. The working title of the album is Babylon Forever. A release date is set for April 2005.

Superfly Productions and A.C. Entertainment have announced the dates for the fourth annual Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival. Confirmed to take place June 10 - 12th, 2005, the three-day camping and music festival will once again be held on the same pristine, 700-acre farm in Manchester, TN, 60 miles southeast of Nashville.

The Pixies, after claiming they would not go further into the northeast than New York City, have finally announced their ONE homecoming show in Boston, MA. The show will be held on Thursday, 12/9/04 at the Avalon Club. Tickets will be onsale at noon this Saturday at Ticketmaster.
