There aren't any details concerning an actual release date but we're assuming the new Dredg song that is available on MySpace ("bug eyes") is taken from recent recordings that they band has been working on.

Deftones caught in the rumor mill

The latest in the Deftones rumor mill is that the forthcoming Bob Ezrin (Pink Floyd) produced album will be entitled Saturday Night Wrist and is still tenatively scheduled for a Spring 2005 release.

OC Soundtracks embarassingly good

As much as it pains me to report, the upcoming Music From The OC: Mix 4 actually looks pretty good. The April 5th scheduled release will feature the likes of Pinback, Sufjan Stevens, AC Newman, Modest Mouse, Beck, and loads more.

Enon release Marbles, tour

Enon will release Lost Marbles and Exploded Evidence on Feb. 22nd. The disc is a compilation of b-sides, rarities, and other miscellaneous recordings from the band. The band has a nice tour planned in support of the disc, so be sure to check them out.

M Doughty non-re-release

After re-releasing his two independent albums on ATO Records, M Doughty (voice of Soul Coughing) has decided to release another record entitled Haughty Melodic on May 3rd. The album was produced by Dan Wilson of Semisonic and, strangely, features Dave Matthews on guest vocals for the track "Tremendous Brunettes." Don't let that scare you off though because it also features Spymob drummer Eric Fawcett.

Death Cab for Cutie will release The John Byrd EP on March 1st via Barsuk Records. The EP features eight live tracks recorded by, wait for it, John Byrd. Expect the disc to be available via Barsuk.com and at select retailers.

Pennywise Reissues

Pennywise have revealed that they will reissue four of their classic albums through Epitaph Records on March 8th. The group’s 1991 label debut Pennywise, 1993’s Unknown Road, 1995’s About Time, and 1997’s Full Circle have all been fully re-mastered and will boast expanded artwork.
