2 + 2 = 5

Reported by ben

It's been a full week since the last Radiohead update... Remember that NYC date to take place a few days before the Field Day Festival? Well, more reliable details have emerged. It will take place at the Beacon Theatre on June 5th. Tickets to the general public go on sale Saturday, May 31st (time not specified) and will cost $2 with a $2 service fee (do the math). It's one of those $2bill concerts that will be aired on MTV2 at a later date... What are your chances of getting a ticket? Slim to none, but the band did set up a website for fans to try their luck in a lottery to win tickets. Sign up at www.radioheadtickets.rlc.net. between noon and 8 PM EST on Tuesday, May 27th. If you should happen to score tickets to the show, remember who told you and hook me up!

Spoon tells you the way to get by

Reported by yewknee

While typically a Merge Records artist, Spoon is set to release a 7-track EP on 12XU Records featuring the Kill The Moonlight track "The Way We Get By". The rest of the disc is live cuts from various performances and should be released on August 18th. The label and band might possibly, hopefully, include CD-Extras of the bands videos - but that has yet to be confirmed (though you can watch some of them on the 12XU site). Heck, even the tracklist is somewhat tenative, but we'll let you know if anything changes.
