After the demise of New End Original, Jonah Matranga is now involved in a new project titled Gratitude. There is no date set for an album release although the band as announced that they will be releaseing it through Velvet Hammer Records. The band as also made available a demo of a song called "Drive Away" on their website.

The Rice Frames

It has been announced that The Frames will take one more step to gaining their rightful place in America by hitting the road with fellow Irishman Damien Rice and his band. The Frames have toured the US several times in the past few years but their tour with Damien Rice will be their largest in the U.S. to date and coming right after the release of their new album, Set List.

Scott Herren (Prefuse 73) releases a new album Apropa't from his Savath & Savalas project on January 26th. Warp and Hefty records previously released Folk Songs for Train Trees and Honey album back in 2000, which you can still get when you preorder the new album from Warpmart.

Squarepushing the Ultravisitor

Squarepusher releases a new album Ultravisitor on March 8th. This is Squarepusher's seventh album for Warp Records, a full-length "epic" which is described as "his best work yet." Parts of the album actually sound like live recordings, but not all is as it appears. The album is preceded by a promo 12" EP with three tracks - "Squarewindow", "Talk About You and Me" and the album's title track "Ultravisitor", which will be released on the 26th January, and it is available on vinyl through Warpmart. The first two tracks will also be exclusively available digitally through Bleep.com on high quality MP3.

The powers that be have announced the dates for this year's three-day camping, music and art festival known as Bonnaroo. This year's event will be taking place June 11-13 on the same picturesque, 600-acre farm in Manchester, TN as years past. Nada Surf have just headed back into the studio with Death Cab for Cutie producer Chris Walla. A Fall 2004 release is expected. Also in the works is a live DVD in February. Keep checking the official site for updates from the studio.

We're easing into 2004 here at SU. Though, there are a few things to take note of presently. There are two great new interviews posted with Phantom Planet and Poison The Well. Radio 4 In the Studio

Radio 4 are back in the studio recording a follow-up to 2002's release Gotham!. They are working with producer Max Heyes, who previously worked with Doves and Primal Scream. The album will be finished in February; more specific release details and tour dates to come soon.

The Hardest Band to Google

The Music are currently in the studio working on the follow up to their self-titled debut, with a yet-to-be-determined producer. Singer Robert Harvey told NME.com, "We're just going to try and get it done as quickly as possible. We understand that people want to hear new stuff from us. I want to just take a shower and forget about everything. Just use music to clean my mind and pretend I'm just a kid in a band again trying to make tunes for the first time." He also cites Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, and Nirvana as influences for this next record.

No Longer On Hold

Enon is rereleasing their 2001 album On Hold. The album was orginally released on CD-R, but this time around only 500 copies pressed in vinyl. This reissue will include a bonus track and an exclusive seven-inch. Look hard, this will not be available at your neighborhood Sam Goody. See the more for the tracklisting.
