Because we can't get enough re-releases these days, Immortal Records will be re-releasing the classic Far album Water & Solutions on May 4th. The package will include rare footage, unreleased music from the W&S era, the original "Mother Mary" music video, as well as live performances and show footage from past US and European tours. Don't get me wrong kids, despite the intial sarcasm, I'm excited about this one!

Nekkid Nofx

Nofx are stirring up controversy again- this time with a so-called offensive cover of Alternative Press. Seen here, they are parading a recent magazine cover from the Dixie Chicks. So offensive that Blockbuster has refused to carry it in their stores. I have seen way more offensive things in the past few months...but that is just me.

Taking Back the UK

Taking Back Sunday have now confirmed six shows in the United Kingdom in June, starting with the Download Festival, where they will join Metallica and Iggy & The Stooges among many others. They will hit Glasgow, Manchester, Oxford, Birmingham and finally, London for performances of their latest disc, Tell All Your Friends.

Elbow in The Room

Elbow have released word that they have already begun work on their next album: "When we finished touring [for] Asleep In The Back we had six months to do another record and that was a lot of pressure." guitarist Mark Potter said. "So we're writing on the road and have got a mini studio in the dressing room....The end of the 'Cast Of Thousands' campaign will be at Glastonbury, which is pretty much where it started, hopefully with the crowd singing along to 'Grace Under Pressure' like on the record," Garvey said, "Then there'll be a new album out next spring."

Beck Loves Gondry

Beck has teamed up with producer/songwriter Jon Brion on a song for the forthcoming soundtrack to the film Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind. The track is a cover is of the 1980 Korgis tune "Everybody's Gotta Learn Sometime." Other contributors to the soundtrack, which will be released on March 16 through Hollywood Records, include the Polyphonic Spree and Electric Light Orchestra.

Yall Want A Second Shot

Korn have now released the video for their anti-music industry song "Yall Want A Single" over at Launch. In other Korn news, Linkin Park has tapped KoRn and Snoop Dogg as co-headliners for Linkin Park's upcoming "Projekt Revolution Tour". The tour will hit North American cities from July 23-Sept. 6 and two undecided bands will be opening the show.

You’ve Got Your Orders Vol. 1

We received word that a new compilation has been released in which bands were given a song title and asked to come up with a song to fit that title. Participants included: Thurston Moore (Sonic Youth), Mark Arm (Mudhoney), Mike Watt (Minutemen, Firehose), Johnette Napolitano (Concrete Blonde), Neil Fallon (Clutch), Aaron Turner (Isis), Bluebird and others. The CD was made in a limited run of 997 copies, and you can get it for $10ppd in the US through chromepeeler.com.
