According to NME.com, The Cure played a show this past weekend in Britain where singer Robert Smith revealed that 20 tracks had been completed for a forthcoming new CD. The as-of-yet untitled disc is being produced by Ross Robinson and will be out on his label. While it's a bit of a head scratcher, Smith said the band chose Robinson because of his work with At The Drive-In, and not some of the other artists Robinson has worked with. Smith said a tentative release date should be sometime this June.

Boards of Canada's debut album Music Has The Right To Children will be reissued on April 5th, featuring the extra track "Happy Cycling" (Previously available on their Peel Session and on the US version of Music...) The album will also be fully repackaged in a "lush foldout cardboard" (cardboard = lush, folks) Digipak sleeve. A new album from Boards of Canada will be released in 2004, if you've already got everything else.

Souls 2004 Concert

System of a Down will host and headline the "Souls 2004" event on April 24th in Los Angeles. The show will be a benefit to raise money for the Armenian National Committee of America and other groups that serve to educate about and work against genocide. April 24 is the 89th anniversary of the genocide attempt by the Ottoman Empire against the Armenians in World War I.

AFI Cancels Last Dates Of Tour

Bob Nanna To Release New Solo Album

A New Protest for the Axis

Audioslave guitarist Tom Morello and Coup frontman Boots Riley are joining Florida farm workers in protesting Taco Bell at the restaurant's Irvine, California, headquarters. Morello and Riley will reuniteat the inaugural date of Axis of Justice Concert Series, March 31st at the Troubadour in LA. Serj Tankian (System of a Down, co-founder of AOJ), will also play at the event along with former MC5 guitarist Wayne Kramer.

You Can't Even Hear It

Queens of the Stone Age redhead Josh Homme going behind the trapkit for his side project Eagles of Death Metal, who release their debut, Peace, Love, Death Metal, on March 23rd. Other bandmates include frontman Jesse "the Devil" Hughes and guitarist Tim "Tipover" Vanhamel (from Belgian rock outfit Millionaire). The Whole World Caves-In

Cave-In have spent the past few weeks in Boston demoing tracks for their second RCA album. Working with producer Andrew Schneider, who worked with the band on their 2002 Tides Of Tomorrow EP, the band have cranked out seven new songs. Cave-In will play a few gigs beginning March 13 in Cleveland at Pirate's Cove and continuing to the Fireside Bowl in Chicago and the Bottleneck in Lawrence, KA, on consecutive days.

Snow Patrol The US

A band that you are going to hear a lot about in the coming months, Snow Patrol, is coming to the US to rock your world. The quartet will play a one-off gig at South By Southwest on March 19 and then will return on Tax Day for a proper tour. To tide you over in the meantime, the band’s excellent third album, and Interscope debut, Final Straw, is out March 30th.
