Finally Coming Over The Pond?

According to rumors, Muse will be touring the U.S. for a couple of weeks prior to their spot at the Coachella Music Festival in California. It's said to be a headlining tour, and their first jaunt in America since opening for Foo Fighters and Red Hot Chili Peppers years ago. While no official dates or word has been given, an April 14th show at the Bowery Ballroom in NYC is supposedly confirmed by the club. Official dates will be posted when we hear...

The Good EP

Sony Music Soundtrax is set to release The Ladykillers - Music From The Motion Picture, the soundtrack album from the upcoming movie on March 23rd. The disc marks the first time producer T Bone Burnett and filmmakers Joel and Ethan Coen have collaborated on a film soundtrack since the album of music from O Brother, Where Art Thou?.

Chevelle Songs and Recording

Chevelle have announced that they have written 7 songs for their new record and will be going into the studio in just a few weeks. The band has completed a song for the Punisher soundtrack, "Still Running," and has also said that the track will most likely show up in "some way" on the record. The band has also decided to record the album in their home town of Chicago.

This is just a pause in the news to let you know that this is post number 6,000 since around November of 2002 (we actually have over 10,000 news post since our creation in 2000). That is so much freaking news!! Lot's of great new things coming up including new interviews with Metric, the Yeah Yeah Yeah's, the Statistics, the Beta Band, and the Von Bondies. Badman GoodCD

On May 11th, Badman Recording Company will release a benefit CD for the San Francisco based charity, Shanti Project. Called Shanti Project Collection 3, the release will feature new and rare tracks from Sigur Ros, Arab Strap, Black Heart Procession, Kinski, and Califone, with each band contributing a pair of songs. San Francisco's Shanti Project works to improve the quality of life for people with life-threatening or chronic illnesses.

The Devil Loves Coffee and Over-Priced Downloads

Starbucks (or as I like to call them 'the devil of coffee') has announced a partnership with HP to offer a new in-store downloading service. The service will allow customers to download music, burn discs, and print album art. Major record labels have already signed on and 2,500 stores are to be outfitted with the new download stations. The cost for the download service will be $6.99 for the minimum 5-song download and $12.95 for full albums.

Barker Breaks Bone

Blink 182 has cancelled all remaining dates with Brand New on their Australian/Japan tour after Travis Barker injured his foot. Rescheduled dates will be announced soon, the band will still play their North American dates as planned starting April 3 in Honolulu.
