Nelly Furtado will launch her “Come As You Are” theatre tour of the United States on April 30th in Chicago, IL to support her gold-certified second album, Folklore. Furtado then kicks off a European concert tour on June 10 with an appearance at the Super Bock Super Rock festival in Lisbon, Spain and concludes July 1st in Utrecht, The Netherlands.

Taking Back The Tour

Taking Back Sunday have announce that a July 2004 release is planned for the band's sophomore album, produced by Lou Giordano (Husker Du, Sunny Day Real Estate). The band will soon be starting a month of dates supporting Blink-182 and Cypress Hill throughout May before heading to the UK to play the Donnington Download Festival. After that, it's back to the US for the Warped Tour.

Late News Breaking, the major label debut from "soulful and ragged guitar rockers" Squad Five-0, will be released on June 29th. The album, produced by Matt Wallace (Replacements/Faith No More) is another milestone for a group that's made waves in various scenes since its inception.

Interpol is set to release their yet to be titled follow up to Turn On the Bright Lights. Peter Katis will once again be producing. Vonfirmed tracks are "Narc" and "Length of Love" which you probably heard them play on tour in the last year.

BRMC are no Longer Virgins

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club has left Virgin Records, in what looks like a decision from the band's side. The reasons for the split are unclear, but I like drama so I am gonna try to figure it out. Meanwhile, check out the more for a letter bassist/vocalist Robert Turner sent me (and thousands of others on the mailing list) to get more details. Despite this major change, the tour with The Rapture will continue.

Rumors are adrift that Jay-Z, Cypress Hill, New Found Glory, and Taking Back Sunday will appear, but the only way to be sure is to keep checking the station's web site.

Ch-Check Out iTunes

The first single ("Ch-Check It Out") from the forthcoming Beastie Boys record To The Five Boroughs will be sent to radio and will be available on iTunes starting April 28th. The Beastie Boys will be playing Japan's Summer Sonic Festival in Tokyo August 7th and 8th and full world tour plans to be announced shortly.
